Terrorists on a deadly frenzy killed scores of individuals in various assaults in the French capital Friday night, including no less than 100 held prisoner at a show corridor before police cleared in. Police declares that Paris attack death toll rises to 153, 85 of those inside the Bataclan theatre, with 200 people injured in total, 100 of them critical.

Explosions and gunfire erupted because the intensely armed security forces poured into the theater where a California rock group was playing. One police official described “carnage” inside the building, saying the attackers tossed explosives at the hostages, then blew themselves up with suicide belts as police closed in, the Associated Press reported. It was misty what number of hostages were protected.

Within minutes, according to Paris police chief Michel Cadot, another cluster of attackers sprayed cafes outside the concert hall with machine gunfire, then stormed inside and opened hearth on the frightened audience. As police enclosed, they detonated explosive belts, killing themselves.

In addition to the deaths at the concert hall, dozens were killed in an attack on a restaurant in the 10th arrondissement and several other establishments crowded on a Friday night, police said. Authorities said at least three people died when the bombs went off outside the soccer stadium.

French President Hollande pronounced a highly sensitive situation and stepped of shutting all borders late Friday after shooters opened hearth at numerous areas. Explosives were set off at the Stade de France, the national stadium, where Germany and France were holding a benevolent soccer match with Hollande in participation before he was whisked away. No less than one of the blasts at the stadium was believed to have been brought on by a terrorist.

Witnesses on French television said the scene at the concert hall, which can seat as many as 1,500 people, was a massacre, describing however gunmen with automatic weapons shot bursts of bullets into the crowd.
“What you are doing in Syria, you are going to pay for it now,” one of the gunmen yelled, a witness said.

US president Barack Obama has offered his country’s support to France in the wake of the attack.
