Watch: Salman Khan’s special video message for differently abled kids

Salman Khan sent a special video message for the otherwise abled children who came to attend the 1st International Film Festival for the Persons with Disabilities (IFFPwd) being control at Siri Fort area in New Delhi  from December 1-3,2015.

Though Salman Khan, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie  ‘Sultan’, was not able to attend the screening. ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ director Kabir Khan and a cute little child actress Harshaali Malhotra, who was seen playing  the role of deaf and dumb girl Munni(Harshaali Malhotra), were also  present at the venue.

During a question-answer session, Kabir Khan director of Bajrangi Bhaijaan said that  “‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is a very special film for Salman Khan and me because there is a very special character of Munni   in it ” . He also said that “I never had an idea of focusing on the issue of differently-abled people, but in the whole film, everyone treated her like a normal person”.

A differently abled kid attending the festival from the audience drew a sketch of Harshaali and presented it to her and the director Kabir Khan.

The three-day festival, organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the social justice and empowerment ministry with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), started with the screening of Marathi film ‘Yellow’ on Tuesday at the Siri Fort auditorium.

It will screen 40 Indian language and international films — 16 short films, 14 documentaries and 10 features (7 fiction and 3 documentary films) before coming to an end on Thursday.
